Who this is for
British-curriculum provision is spread across Berlin, Frankfurt, Munich, Hamburg and Düsseldorf, largely serving corporate relocation families. Many pupils are in bilingual or German-system schools and take British qualifications alongside, particularly in English.
Why families in Germany come to us
- Corporate relocation families keeping a UK school re-entry route open
- Bilingual pupils formalising English attainment with an IGCSE
- Early-afternoon slots that suit the shorter German school day
- Continuity across postings, where a family may move country again within two years
Qualifications we support
Cambridge IGCSE and Pearson Edexcel International GCSE are both present, with A-Levels and the IB at sixth form. Families on fixed-term corporate postings often need to keep a UK re-entry route open, which shapes subject choices from Year 9.

Time zones and scheduling
Germany is UTC+1 in winter and UTC+2 in summer, one hour ahead of the UK throughout the year.
German school days often finish early in the afternoon, so 15:00–19:00 local time is unusually workable compared with other European markets.
Sessions are booked as a fixed weekly slot wherever possible, so the appointment becomes part of the week rather than something renegotiated every Sunday. If a school trip or a family holiday gets in the way, the slot can be moved.
How the sessions work
- Tell us the school, board and year group. That is what determines the right tutor — not a general subject label.
- Free 15-minute discovery call. We check the match before you pay for anything.
- Live sessions in LoftClass. Our own virtual classroom, built for teaching rather than adapted from business video-conferencing: shared whiteboard, document sharing, recordings.
- A short written summary after each session so parents in a different time zone still know what was covered and what to practise.

Tell us your child's age, curriculum, country and local availability and we'll match you with the right UK-based teacher.
Who teaches the sessions
Every tutor is a UK-qualified, DBS-checked teacher with classroom experience of the specification they teach. We do not recruit undergraduates, and we do not claim accreditations, awards or partnerships we do not hold. Learning Loft is a UK company; all tuition is delivered online from the UK.
