Who this is for
India's international and British-curriculum schools are concentrated in Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune and Chennai, alongside a very large domestic CBSE and ICSE sector. Families choosing IGCSE and A-Level are frequently doing so with UK or international university entry in mind, and they tend to be specific about the grades required.
Why families in India come to us
- Pupils transferring from CBSE or ICSE into IGCSE or A-Level and adjusting to different assessment demands
- UK university applications requiring particular A-Level grades
- Essay-based subjects where mark-scheme precision is rarely taught explicitly
- Families relocating to the UK and wanting their child ready for a domestic classroom
Qualifications we support
Cambridge IGCSE is the most common British-curriculum route in India, with Pearson Edexcel International GCSE also used, and Cambridge or Pearson International A-Levels at sixth form. We do not teach CBSE or ICSE programmes; where a pupil is moving from those systems into IGCSE or A-Level, bridging that gap is exactly the work we do.
- Cambridge IGCSE
- Pearson Edexcel International GCSE
- A-Level
- Cambridge International A-Level
- KS2 and KS3
- UK boarding entrance
What families in India ask for most

- EAL and spoken-English confidence — academic English with live conversation and discussion
- Primary tutoring — phonics, reading, writing and times tables
- Maths from primary to GCSE and IGCSE

Time zones and scheduling
India is UTC+5:30 all year — five and a half hours ahead of the UK in winter, four and a half during British Summer Time.
A 19:00 session in India is mid-afternoon in the UK, so evening tuition after school sits squarely within a UK teacher's working day.
Sessions are booked as a fixed weekly slot wherever possible, so the appointment becomes part of the week rather than something renegotiated every Sunday. If a school trip or a family holiday gets in the way, the slot can be moved.
How the sessions work
- Tell us the school, board and year group. That is what determines the right tutor — not a general subject label.
- Free 15-minute discovery call. We check the match before you pay for anything.
- Live sessions in LoftClass. Our own virtual classroom, built for teaching rather than adapted from business video-conferencing: shared whiteboard, document sharing, recordings.
- A short written summary after each session so parents in a different time zone still know what was covered and what to practise.

Tell us your child's age, curriculum, country and local availability and we'll match you with the right UK-based teacher.
Who teaches the sessions
Every tutor is a UK-qualified, DBS-checked teacher with classroom experience of the specification they teach. We do not recruit undergraduates, and we do not claim accreditations, awards or partnerships we do not hold. Learning Loft is a UK company; all tuition is delivered online from the UK.
