Who this is for
Singapore's international schools serve a highly academic expatriate population, and pupils frequently move between British, IB and American systems. The local academic culture is demanding, and parents are generally clear about the specific skill they want addressed rather than asking for broad support.
Why families in Singapore come to us
- Pupils transferring between IB and A-Level routes and needing to bridge content differences
- Targeted work on IGCSE English Language paper technique for strong but exam-inefficient writers
- Maths pupils moving from a local to an international curriculum, or the reverse
- Families relocating back to the UK and wanting continuity through the move
Qualifications we support
Cambridge IGCSE and Pearson Edexcel International GCSE are both common; sixth form is split between A-Levels and the IB Diploma. Note that the Singapore-Cambridge national qualifications are a separate system — our specialism is the British international route.

Time zones and scheduling
Singapore is UTC+8, seven to eight hours ahead of the UK.
A 17:00 Singapore session is 09:00 in the UK; a 19:00 session is 11:00. Both are ordinary working hours for a UK tutor, so availability is good.
Sessions are booked as a fixed weekly slot wherever possible, so the appointment becomes part of the week rather than something renegotiated every Sunday. If a school trip or a family holiday gets in the way, the slot can be moved.
How the sessions work
- Tell us the school, board and year group. That is what determines the right tutor — not a general subject label.
- Free 15-minute discovery call. We check the match before you pay for anything.
- Live sessions in LoftClass. Our own virtual classroom, built for teaching rather than adapted from business video-conferencing: shared whiteboard, document sharing, recordings.
- A short written summary after each session so parents in a different time zone still know what was covered and what to practise.

Who teaches the sessions
Every tutor is a UK-qualified, DBS-checked teacher with classroom experience of the specification they teach. We do not recruit undergraduates, and we do not claim accreditations, awards or partnerships we do not hold. Learning Loft is a UK company; all tuition is delivered online from the UK.
