Who this is for
Thailand has a large international-school sector in Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket, offering a mix of British curriculum and IB. British-curriculum pupils often sit IGCSEs in a cohort that is linguistically diverse, and academic written English is a frequent focus rather than a weakness in spoken confidence.
Why families in Thailand come to us
- Academic written English and analytical writing for pupils in multilingual cohorts
- Maths and separate Sciences where option groups are large
- Pupils planning a move into UK schooling or UK university applications
- Exam-technique and past-paper coaching ahead of the summer series
Qualifications we support
Cambridge IGCSE and Pearson Edexcel International GCSE are the main Year 10–11 routes, with Cambridge and Pearson International A-Levels at sixth form. Where a school runs the IB instead, we are honest about the limits of what we cover and will say so before you book.
- Cambridge IGCSE
- Pearson Edexcel International GCSE
- A-Level
- Cambridge International A-Level
- KS2 and KS3
- EAL and academic English
Tutoring for families in Bangkok
Most of the Thailand families we hear from are in Bangkok, with children at British or international schools following IGCSE, GCSE or A Level courses. We support English, Maths, Science and humanities, plus academic English and EAL for pupils whose subject knowledge is ahead of their written English.
We also help families moving between UK and international schooling, so a pupil arriving mid-course, or returning to a UK school, does not lose ground on the specification.
What families in Thailand ask for most
- Secondary English and IGCSE English with UK-based English teachers
- EAL and spoken-English confidence — academic English with live conversation and discussion
- Primary tutoring — phonics, reading, writing and times tables
- Maths from primary to GCSE and IGCSE

Time zones and scheduling
Thailand is UTC+7 all year — six or seven hours ahead of the UK depending on the time of year.
An early-evening session in Bangkok lands in the UK late morning or early afternoon, so you are not restricted to tutors working unsociable hours. Before-school morning slots also work well for pupils who concentrate better early.
Sessions are booked as a fixed weekly slot wherever possible, so the appointment becomes part of the week rather than something renegotiated every Sunday. If a school trip or a family holiday gets in the way, the slot can be moved.
How the sessions work
- Tell us the school, board and year group. That is what determines the right tutor — not a general subject label.
- Free 15-minute discovery call. We check the match before you pay for anything.
- Live sessions in LoftClass. Our own virtual classroom, built for teaching rather than adapted from business video-conferencing: shared whiteboard, document sharing, recordings.
- A short written summary after each session so parents in a different time zone still know what was covered and what to practise.

Tell us your child's age, curriculum, country and local availability and we'll match you with the right UK-based teacher.
Who teaches the sessions
Every tutor is a UK-qualified, DBS-checked teacher with classroom experience of the specification they teach. We do not recruit undergraduates, and we do not claim accreditations, awards or partnerships we do not hold. Learning Loft is a UK company; all tuition is delivered online from the UK.
