Who this is for
Dubai has the densest concentration of British-curriculum schools anywhere outside the UK, from large through-schools in Arabian Ranches and Jumeirah to newer campuses in Dubai Hills and Dubai South. KHDA inspection ratings shape admissions, and class sizes in popular schools mean individual feedback on extended writing is often limited.
Why families in Dubai come to us
- Large teaching groups making it hard for pupils to get detailed feedback on essay-based subjects
- Families arriving mid-course from other curricula and needing to catch up on IGCSE content quickly
- Year 11 and Year 13 students preparing for the summer series with limited access to past-paper coaching
- Pupils planning to return to the UK for sixth form or university
Qualifications we support
Pearson Edexcel International GCSE is the most common Year 10–11 route in Dubai, with Cambridge IGCSE widely used in Science and Maths. Sixth forms typically offer Pearson or Cambridge International A-Levels, and some schools run the IB alongside. We support the British-curriculum routes.

Joining or leaving a Dubai school mid-course
Many Dubai pupils join from another curriculum, or move schools within the city when families relocate. Because Dubai does not change its clocks, a fixed weekly slot stays at the same local time all year, and lessons can continue unchanged if your family returns to the UK.
Primary, KS2 and secondary support for families in Dubai
Dubai families come to us at every stage, from primary children settling into a British school to Year 11 and Year 13 students working through past papers. Younger pupils can work on KS2 English and maths, including reading and writing and times tables and arithmetic. Older pupils can work towards GCSE, IGCSE or A-Level with a teacher who knows their board.
To get started, send a short request with your child's year group, school curriculum and preferred local times, or book a free 15-minute discovery call.

Time zones and scheduling
Dubai runs on UTC+4 all year, with no daylight saving, so your slot stays stable while the UK clocks change.
A 17:00 Dubai session is 13:00 in the UK — comfortably inside a UK teacher's working day, which means you are not limited to late-night tutors.
Sessions are booked as a fixed weekly slot wherever possible, so the appointment becomes part of the week rather than something renegotiated every Sunday. If a school trip or a family holiday gets in the way, the slot can be moved.
How the sessions work
- Tell us the school, board and year group. That is what determines the right tutor — not a general subject label.
- Free 15-minute discovery call. We check the match before you pay for anything.
- Live sessions in LoftClass. Our own virtual classroom, built for teaching rather than adapted from business video-conferencing: shared whiteboard, document sharing, recordings.
- A short written summary after each session so parents in a different time zone still know what was covered and what to practise.

Tell us your child's age, curriculum, country and local availability and we'll match you with the right UK-based teacher.
Who teaches the sessions
Every tutor is a UK-qualified, DBS-checked teacher with classroom experience of the specification they teach. We do not recruit undergraduates, and we do not claim accreditations, awards or partnerships we do not hold. Learning Loft is a UK company; all tuition is delivered online from the UK.
